Transmission laser welding of plastic can be a difficult task because of the fixture requirements needed to weld two plastics together. Our engineers designed and built this system for welding fuel pumps used in the automotive industry. The system features a 90-watt FAP diode laser and a rotary table with a rotary axis. The rotary table design allows the operator to load one side of the processing table while a part is being processed within the machine. This system was delivered in 2006.
