
Project Engineer
Join our team of engineers to oversee the production cycle from start to finish. Design, test, and document system operating procedures while actively working with clients to meet production specifications.
- Confirm product performance and conduct testing operations
- Assist with product development including system manuals
Job Requirements
The Project Engineer performs the major functions listed below. The position may require additional duties/responsibilities that may not be outlined below, and specific functions are subject to change.
- Work in partnership with Project Management to implement test procedures, alignment, and calibration of system equipment.
- Work directly with assigned customers to verify all specifications are fulfilled and within contract obligations.
- Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
- Confirms product performance by outlining and conducting test procedures for system operation.
- Maintaining product documentation and taking ownership of system build process.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Help develop setup and operation processes along with development of system manuals for system operation.
- Proactively participate in the production team environment and follow the direction of the leadership team to meet company and customer goals.
- Willing to travel on a limited basis to assist Field Service personnel with product installation when required.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Use of precision tools such as an oscilloscope, function generator, calipers, and micrometer desirable.
- Excellent writing/oral skills and proficient computer skills (MS Office, CAD, and Outlook are required).
- Experience with robotics, automation, pneumatics, and vision acquisition system desirable.
- Working knowledge of electrical theory and experience in the safe use of electrical test equipment.
- Resourceful, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred, or a minimum of an Associates in Engineering Technology or equivalent military experience is required.
- A strong Engineering aptitude, troubleshooting/problem solving skills with hands-on capabilities.
